The illuminated flat panel is not necessary for most product photography. However for highly translucent objects, the underlighting can give you dramatic results, highlighting inner glass details that would otherwise go unnoticed.

When using multiple light sources it is important to make sure all the lamps have the same color balance. It is possible to correct for some color distortions with a camera’s white balance or with imaging software. However, it is nearly impossible to correct for color problems caused by using multiple light sources. All of our lighting products are daylight balanced, and work beautifully together.
